WHAT IS AN IN-HOME NURSING SERVICE ?
Home health nurses provide one-on-one care for patients in their homes. Home healthcare may involve assisting patients with basic needs such as bathing and dressing, as well as more specialized services such as wound care, medication management, and IV therapy. Their duties often involve tasks such as housekeeping (washing dishes, cleaning the home, doing laundry, making beds and so on). They also help prepare meals as well as provide personal care (bathing, dressing) for the individual.Home health services help adults, seniors, and pediatric clients who are recovering after a hospital or facility stay, or need additional support to remain safely at home and avoid unnecessary hospitalization.
WHEN DO YOU NEED US?
This means that, in most cases, a nursing home resident can keep their residence and still qualify for Medicaid to pay their nursing home expenses. You will still need to plan to pay real estate taxes, insurance and upkeep costs. But neither the government nor the nursing home will take your home as long as you live.
